Ofsted consults on public reports

Ofsted has launched a consultation into plans to publish inspection reports for children's homes. The reports are currently only available on demand under the Freedom of Information Act, but the government is looking to bring homes into line with other areas of inspection such as schools and make the reports more widely available.
The consultation, which ends on 16 September, is seeking the views of children's professionals as well as children in homes.
