They met up at the council's annual convention, alongside delegates and observers from member organisations of BYC, such as Girlguiding UK and the Scouts. As well as participating in creative workshops on topics such as campaigning, speaking in public and making short promotional films, they took part in discussions on the latest political issues.

60th birthday of the BYC
More than 150 young people from around Britain gathered in Nottingham from the 14 to 16 August to celebrate the 60th birthday of the British Youth Council (BYC).
