A Devon scheme to get young people involved in their communities is to be trialled across England. Youth participation organisation Young Devon has been running its Participation in Action scheme for seven years. The scheme aims to empower young people and help them to volunteer in their communities. To date more than 200 young people in Devon have taken part. Unlike most other schemes, the project is accredited by curriculum development organisation Asdan.
