The number of young people breaching antisocial behaviour orders (ASBOs) has jumped by 10 per cent over two years. Home Office figures released last week show that the breach rate for under-18s rose from 47 per cent at the end of 2003, to 57 per cent at the end of 2005. The figures, which add data for the final quarter of 2005 to previous statistics, also show a continued increase in the use of ASBOs. In 2004 1,318 were given to juveniles, rising to 1,555 in 2005.
