The implementation of the Russell Commission's proposed framework for youth volunteering has received initial finance of £3,500,000 from seven organisations. The seven founding organisations of the implementation body include six private companies. They are T-Mobile, ITV, KPMG, MTV, Tesco, Sky and The Hunter Foundation, a philanthropic organisation that works in the developing world. The Home Office has announced Rod Aldridge, executive chairman of The Capita Group, as chairman of the board of the charity that will run the framework.
