Winners of the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Award for Young People, which recognises teenagers' community work, are to get the chance to improve their skills through a £204,158 pilot scheme. The Youth Ambassadors Programme, which will launch in April in England, will give award holders access to various training courses. The three-year pilot, funded by a National Voluntary Youth Organisations grant, will offer courses such as communication skills training, peer education residentials and research skills.
