The disabled children's charity Whizz-Kidz has been awarded a two-year grant of just over £100,000 from the Government to set up six specialist mobility centres across England. The centres will specialise in the trial and provision of paediatric mobility equipment and will also offer impartial advice and information to disabled children and their families and professionals working with them. The charity will be working with Disablement Services Centres, which offer clinics around the country for children requiring wheelchairs and prosthetics, NHS Wheelchair Services and the Disabled Living Centres Council.
