Spinners of tall tales

Spinners of tall tales from around the world will visit nurseries and schools during the Scottish International Storytelling Festival,from 29 October to 8 November. The traditional storytellers include Scotland's Ewan McVicar and Heather Henderson and American Wendy Welch, who include audience interaction and props. The National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh is also holding special events suitable for children age three and up. School visits cost £90 per half-day. For under-fives, 40-minute sessions and a maximum of 30 children are recommended. Contact Joanna Bremner at the Scottish Storytelling Centre on 0131 557 5724.
