Changes to the tax credit system outlined in Chancellor
Gordon Brown's pre-budget report last week have been welcomed by the Child
Poverty Action Group. Measures include a rise from £2,500 to Pounds
25,000 in disregarding increases in parental income from one tax year to the
next.
