Primary schools prosper under national strategy

Ofsted's evaluation of the Primary National Strategy,
published last week, has found that overall it was having 'a positive impact'
on primary schools. The report also looked at transition from the Foundation
Stage to Key Stage 1 and found that two-thirds of schools had good induction
arrangements and that these were 'at least satisfactory in almost all schools
visited'.
