Two nursery nurses who were suspended from a Nottingham Kinderquest nursery after allegedly exposing children to anti-nail-biting solution have been charged with child cruelty. Sara Brown and Nichola Mason, both age 20, have been charged with two counts and one count of child cruelty respectively after a six-week police investigation. They pleaded not guilty at Nottingham magistrates court last week. The charges relate to allegations that they put anti-nail-biting solution on the dummy of an 18-month-old boy and on the fingers of a two-year-old girl in October (News, 7 November).
